Our New Work
We are now working with an organization called Life Impact, whose mission is to strengthen ministry workers in these guest houses, called “Oasis Centers.” LI serves people from many different organizations, with the heart that these precious servants can find the care they need to keep serving.
This is a smaller, newer group than the group with whom we most recently served. It’s a collective group of people in different seasons of life, with different seasons of experiences and different stories to tell. But together, we exist in order to fuel our brothers and sisters in service with the gasoline needed to keep engines running.
Life Impact
Life Impact was started in 2003 by a veteran couple with The Navigators, having 30 years of field experience. They wanted to pass on their lessons –- good, bad, and ugly -– to younger workers, so they created the first Oasis in Sunriver, Oregon.
In 2006, Life Impact quickly expanded in to a group of more Oases, run by empty-nesters, singles, young couples, and families. It rapidly grew in to a family of servants with a passion to encourage those in ministry, wherever they are.
To summarize what it says on LI’s website: there are several excellent organizations that send caregivers to the fields to help missionaries in their locations –- a vital ministry. But LI has been raised up as a caregiving team to provide PLACES for servants to come to for rest, retreat, and processing of the more normal issues they face.
Our Role
We are first joining LI in its headquarters in Bend, Oregon. Kyle will serve as its Director of Operations, helping with all the nuts and bolts of keeping eight worldwide guest houses running smoothly. He’ll be the CEO’s “right hand man,” doing what he does best to provide troubleshooting, detail work, and service where its needed most.

With two other units, we will share the responsibility in running a local Oasis, serving those who come our way. While we’re in Bend, we will be trained as “life coaches,” prayerfully preparing for running a guest house overseas in the future. This has been our heart’s desire for a long time — we’d love nothing more than to serve fellow families in the trenches, right where they are.
